Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships to return to Sandwell

Some of the country’s top young divers will be heading to the Sandwell Aquatics Centre for the four-day GoCardless Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships in 2025.

The venue for the aquatic events at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will host the competition for the second year in a row, following it’s re-opening last year.

The competition will take place from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 June where athletes will compete across four different age groups from the 1m and 3m springboard, plus the 10m platform. The event will also host synchronised events from both 1m and 3m springboards.

Southend Diving Club were awarded the Dawdon Shield Trophy for the top club at the 2024 National Age Group Championships in the national governing bodies first event at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre.

Attention then turns to the Swim England Diving National Skills Final where there was more success for Southend last time out.

Of the 18 different clubs that took to the podium, Southend took their joint highest medal count at the competition with six medals at their home pool.

This year, they’ll once again get the chance to compete on home soil as the Swim England East Region hosts the competition at the Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July.

The Swim England Diving Talent Games will then close out the year on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November as we look for latest members of the Swim England Diving Youth Development Squad. That event will take place at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds.

Entry information plus ticket details for both competitions will be confirmed in due course and will be available on each competition’s webpage.
