Ponds Forge to host trio of Swim England swimming events in 2025

Sheffield’s Ponds Forge International Pool will host all three of Swim England’s national swimming events in 2025.

It all begins with one of the biggest events of the calendar year as the GoCardless Swim England National Summer Meet is held across six days from Tuesday 29 July to Sunday 3 August.

The event is set to welcome swimmers from more than 200 clubs as the future stars of English and British swimming come together to round off the long course season.

The annual GoCardless Swim England National County Team Championships then kicks off the new season at the start of October.

Sheffield’s Ponds Forge will host the event that boasts one of the best atmospheres in swimming as hundreds of athletes battle it out for titles, promotion and relegation.

The event will take place on Sunday 5 October 2025 as the athletes bid for glory for their counties across two divisions.

Kent returned to the top of the leaderboard in 2024 as they secured the Division One title, whilst Division Two champions Berkshire & South Buckinghamshire were promoted to the top flight alongside Middlesex, Staffordshire and Oxford & North Buckinghamshire.

Rounding out the year is the GoCardless Swim England National Winter Championships at Ponds Forge from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 December.

The short course Championships welcomes a number of Great Britain’s best, providing them a platform to compete at the highest domestic level at the end of the short course season.

They’ll meet a plethora of up-and-coming talent who all relish the experience of competing alongside a number of established stars.

Entry information plus ticket details for all events will also be confirmed in due course on each event’s webpage.
